Welcome!
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of you for visiting the website of Gunsan Free Trade Zone Administration Agency.

A free trade zone (FTZ) is designated and directly run by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy to promote foreign investment and international trade. Manufacturing, logistics, distribution and trade are interactively carried out and free marketing and sales are ensured in a free tradezone. It provides a system of lowered bureaucratic requirements and tariffs, and one stop administrative services.
Gunsan Free Trade Zone Administrative Agency was established in 1973 in the Iksan Free Trade Zone and relocated to the Gunsan Free Trade Zone in October, 2005. Currently, it operates two free trade zones in Gunsan and Iksan and plans to set up a free trade zone in Gimje by 2011.
Gimje Free Trade Zone will be an important region for advancing into North East Asian markets including China, along with Gunsan FTZ. It will be the best choice for investment because of its accessibility to major Korean cities like Seoul, Daejeon, and Gwangju.
As with the completion of Saemangeum dyke, various other development projects are underway like the construction of industrial and tourism complexes and new renewable energy developments. Gimje FTZ will be truly the most dynamic area in North East Asia.
We, at the Administration Agency, will do our utmost to contribute to the development of the national and local community as we undertake initiatives in creating high added values and promoting technical sophistication for tenant companies by capitalizing on such advantages and strengthen our relationships with local governments and associated organizations.
We appreciate your interest and encouragement.
Thank you very much

February 2009,
Sohn Kyeong Yun
Administrator of Gunsan Free Trade Zone
Administration Agency, Ministry of Knowledge Economy
